Google has announced unbranded Chrome OS notebook CR-48 at Chrome OS Event, which is the part of pilot program and will be available to business and consumers for testing a computing model that shifts OS into the cloud.
Google’s CEO said:
“Chrome OS laptops will come with free wireless connectivity, allowing users to send and receive up to 100 megabytes of wireless data a month, through a partnership that Google is working on with Verizon.”
Google Chrome OS notebooks availability is announced for 2011.

Apple has released next generation MacBook Air notebook in two models of 11 inch and 13 inch size.
According to Steve Jobs, the new MacBook Air is without optical drive and has no hard drive, which allows instant-on capabilities. The new MacBook Air memory is up to two times faster which is more reliable and 90 percent smaller and lighter.

 According to Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs the company has sold more than 2 million iPads since the device launched on 03 April 2010 and the majority of ipads were sold in U.S. as the iPad went on sale less than four days ago in Australia, Japan, Canada, the U.K., Spain, France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. Apple didn’t speak about the international share of sale out of 2 million iPads .

Apple said 5,000 applications built specifically for the iPad are now available in the App Store. In all, Apple has more than 200,000 apps in the store that are compatible with the iPad.
 Acer the 2nd largest PC vendor finally seems to get into the growing slate business. Reportedly, the company chairman recently demonstrated the Acer tablet at the Source Home summit in Beijing.
At the moment details are sparse but it is known that the device features a 7-inch touchscreen display.What’s interesting about this tablet is that it has a physical slide-out keyboard too! Now that’s what separates Acer from other manufacturers. But I believe Acer should come out with a 10-inch version of this tablet. I am sure because of its slide-out physical keyboard it would solve all input problems associated with a typical slate tablet.
